Messiah (Christ), a King

Then the whole assembly rose and led him off to Pilate. And they began to accuse him, saying, “We have found this man subverting our nation. He opposes payment of taxes to Caesar and claims to be Messiah, a king.”
So Pilate asked Jesus, “Are you the king of the Jews?”
“You have said so,” Jesus replied.
Then Pilate announced to the chief priests and the crowd, “I find no basis for a charge against this man.”
Dear Father, I bow down before Jesus, Who does not just “claim to be” Messiah (Christ) a King, but Who unquestionably IS Messiah a King (Christ THE King)! I am in awe that before the beginning of time You determined that Jesus would be the Messiah (the Anointed One, the Christ, the Savior of the world), and the King (the Ruler and Lord) of all creation. I thank You that in Him is Your entire rule, saving power, healing, love, forgiveness, servant spirit, grace, revelation and wisdom. I exalt and adore the Messiah King. I devote every part of my life to Him and I proclaim His absolute supremacy. I pray that Your Spirit will cause “the whole assembly” (the whole Church) to become insatiably hungry to know the depths and riches of the Messiah, and to abandon ourselves to following Him above all else. I pray that rather than Jesus being charged with “subverting our nation” today, that great numbers of people will honor and revere Him as Lord of their lives and Lord of the nations. I especially pray that You will remove all obstacles for Jewish people around the world, to receive the Messiah as their king, now and forever. All glory to Messiah a King, Who alone is the reigning King of the Jews! In His majestic name I pray these things. Amen.
