Matthew 3:16

As soon as Jesus was baptized, he went up out of the water. At that moment heaven was opened, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove and alighting on him.

The LORD JESUS CHRIST has an eternal, perfect love relationship with God the Father.

Dear Father, I love to meditate on this extraordinary event between You, Your Son and the Holy Spirit. I am especially captivated by Your declaration that Jesus is Your Son, Whom I Love. I celebrate that this is an amazing fulfillment of the prophecy in Isaiah 42:1, where You said You would someday send Your servant, the “chosen one in whom I delight,” and “put my Spirit on him.” I marvel at the relationship of immeasurable and infinite love that You, the Son and the Spirit (the Trinity) displayed in confirming Jesus as the long-awaited Messiah! I rejoice that You are well-pleased with Jesus, now and forever, as He fulfills all the plans and purposes You sent Him to earth to accomplish. I pray that You will pour into me, my family members and all other believers every bit of what You want us to know about the Son, Whom I Love, so we will love Him as You love Him, and submit ourselves entirely to His rule and reign. I pray also that You will remove all distractions and strongholds in the lives of the many people we know who do not yet have a relationship with the Son, Whom I Love, so they will eagerly seek Him as their Savior. I pray these things in Your beloved Son’s name. Amen.
