Video: What does "Christ UPON us" tell me about who he is today?

In this session, we explore with David how Christ’s reign is inexhaustible, there is always “so much more” the Father desires to give us in Jesus.

Sometimes our Redeemer King comes upon us when his glory breaks through by outpourings of the Holy Spirit in the renewal of his people – what some call “Christ Awakenings.” During these times, Jesus intensifies and accelerates our experiences of his supremacy.

Our Lord is also passionate for the consummation of all things. One day he will come “upon us” in a spectacular, bodily return, in order to triumph throughout the universe forever. Both now and later, the “increase of his Kingdom” has no end (Isaiah 9).

We wait continually for more of Christ supreme, not only “then” but “now”, as we pray “Come, Lord Jesus” (Revelation 22).

Video 8:1 – What does “Christ UPON us” tell me about who he is today?

Bible Focus:
"'To the angel of the church in Ephesus write: These are the words of him who holds the seven stars in his right hand and walks among the seven golden lampstands. I know your deeds, your hard work and your perseverance. I know that you cannot tolerate wicked people, that you have tested those who claim to be apostles but are not, and have found them false. You have persevered and have endured hardships for my name, and have not grown weary. Yet I hold this against you: You have forsaken the love you had at first. Consider how far you have fallen! Repent and do the things you did at first. If you do not repent, I will come to you and remove your lampstand from its place.'" - Revelation 2:1-5
